Spicin' up the Frame
If you are a regular reader of boing boing
you will have seen this. If not here is the original link .
“Wally Wood’s 22 frames that always work” is a comic book cheat sheet classic that may help the filmmaker spice up an otherwise dull frame. Not all the examples are applicable since extreme contrast changes don’t exactly work in film like it does in comics but there are still a few good tips that might apply. Many thanks to Joel Johnson for his generosity in sharing this classic comic reference work. Make sure to grab a copy of this in all it's hi-res glory on his blog.

Thanks for the Wally Wood link, great stuff, never seen that before!
welcome, I had never seen it before either, once you see it, you say well of course.
Still its a nice reference and it kind of forces you to think graphicly, animation wise it's kind of like key frame poses on steroids.
Dude, that's so weird, I saw this linked yesterday on Bug Powder. Good stuff.
Noogie, did you ever show Sven the Zoho kink you have here? I think he'd plotz!
Hey Dude-ette you got to love the boingboing -bugs or no bugs
I don't know if Sven saw Zoho it was floating around SMA for a while so he might have seen it there.
Hey Sven you listening?
Tyhanks Mark... downloaded to my Documents folder for future reference.
Most Welcome Mike, glad you liked it
Dude, do something?
C'mon Unk'a Mark... give us another Noogie??!! ;)
Yeah, a Noogie Nugget. Hey Mark, man of keen insight and obvious taste, if you feel like it, would you tell us what you want for yourself in terms of your art? Like are you happy to build armatures? Is there a stop motion film in your head and heart to make? Do you like the art you make? Do you make art these days? I'd like to know. Kill the mystery!
Yes, yes, sometimes and yes, head more than heart but somedays it's the other way around.
Thanks for the reminder, I need to check/update my blog more often.
Coming right up, one headlock and the noogie to follow.
